Bank Healthcare Assistant (HCA) with Phlebotomy Experience
Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant with phlebotomy skills looking for flexible work across our community services?
Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) is seeking proactive and motivated Bank HCAs with Phlebotomist experience to support our clinics and community teams.
You will play a key role in ensuring safe and high-quality patient care through effective blood collection, assisting with patient support, and helping to maintain continuity of service. This includes covering ad-hoc weekday shifts to help manage backlogs and shortfalls within the service.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 (ad-hoc weekday shifts)
Locations: Community-based (Clinic and Domiciliary Settings)

Main duties of the job
o Perform venepuncture efficiently and accurately in clinic and home-visit settings (target: one patient every 8 minutes within the clinic).
o Support clinical teams with basic patient care duties in line with your HCA competencies.
o Assist in managing ad-hoc cover to ensure service continuity during peak periods or staffing shortfalls.
o Deliver care in accordance with CLCH policies, guidelines, and competencies, as delegated by the Phlebotomy Team Lead or Locality Manager.
o Accurately complete documentation and ensure timely entry of activity data onto clinical systems.
o Report any changes in a patient's condition to the Team Leader or senior phlebotomist on duty.
o Promote health education and self-care during patient interactions.
o Adhere to Data Protection, confidentiality, and infection prevention standards at all times.
