The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the delivery ofa clinical specialised Occupational Therapy treatment as part of the Central London Community (Barnet) Unplanned Care Service. The Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH) NHS Trust are the leading provider of community health in the United Kingdom covering 11 London Boroughs and Hertfordshire with over 900 Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in seven professional groups - Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Orthoptists, Paramedics, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists and Speech and Language Therapists. AHPs are 30% of the clinical workforce at CLCH providing assessment and treatment interventions across the lifespan from birth to end of life care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for:

Determine clinical diagnoses, provide appropriate treatments, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner working without direct supervision but with advice and support from Band 7 Occupational Therapists and other team colleagues.

Manage a clinical caseload, maintain a high professional standard, and employ specialised knowledge gained from practical and theoretical experience.

To deputise for the Band 7 Occupational Therapist in terms of operational issues and to assist in the planning, co-ordination and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy Service provided to patients with rehabilitation problems when required.
