We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Performance and Insight Business Analyst to join our Performance and Insight Team. In this role, you will provide high-quality data analysis, turning complex information into meaningful business intelligence to support clinical teams and inform key decision-making. Using tools like Power BI and Excel, you will extract, interpret, and present data to monitor performance and drive service improvements.

Main duties of the job

To participate in local and national benchmarking by ensuring data is sourced and available as required on the national benchmarking site.

To undertake quarterly routine reporting, such as SOM and ELT, as and when required.

To provide support for routine performance monitoring.

Support senior business analysts in undertaking demand and capacity modelling when needed.

To liaise with external and internal teams in the collation and provision of data and data analysis.

To centrally create and make available detailed and highly accurate reports and analyses of clinical data sets to a range of clinical services staff and managers across the Division.

To make use of appropriate reporting systems, currently including Power BI and MS Excel.

To continually develop, design and refine reporting frameworks to support the needs of the Trust.

Ensure all local, regional, and national performance reports that the clinical services are required to submit are completed and returned to deadline.

To provide appropriate comparative information to support performance improvement, e.g. using benchmarking tools and resources such as productivity metrics.

Essential

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in IT or a related discipline.

Desirable

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in statistical theory, data analysis or similar, or equivalent experience in a related discipline, or equivalent.

Experience

  • Proficient in data manipulation, analysis and presentation of complex health activity data.
  • oExperience of resolving complex problems and produce meaningful reports/outcome from complex dataset.

Desirable

  • Experience of developing dashboards, monitoring key indicators for health services.
  • Experience of Business intelligence reporting tools (e.g Power BI, Qlikview)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Extensive working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft reporting products.(including the ability to devise complex, interlinked and macro driven models)
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, working logically and with great attention to detail.
