Job summary

Are you looking for an interesting and varied Rehabilitation Care Assistant post working in a Parkinson's MDT Team in a clinic-based setting?

We have a part-time (permanent) Band 3 Rehabilitation Care Assistant post in our Barnet Parkinson's Service working within our adult integrated MDT Parkinson's team (the service comprises specialist nurses, doctors, dietetics, OT, PT, SLT).

We are looking for a skilled, motivated, andenthusiastic Health Care Assistant who is interested in this patient group and would like to join us.

The post would be suitable for an existing band 3 HCA.

We offer care mainly in a clinic setting with some virtual clinics. This post offers a variety andopportunities to develop the range of your clinical skills as well as joint working with a range of professionals and opportunities to contribute to service development.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for implementing prescribed treatment programs with an allocated patient caseload following successful completion of competency based assessments and within agreed scope of practice. This would follow on from an initial assessment of each patient by a qualified member of the therapy team.

To work with all members of the Multi-disciplinary team (MDT) in planning and facilitating the patient's progression through the treatment program, within the goals and protocols set out by the qualified staff.

To be able to drive a car to assist the therapist in completing access and home visits to patients property.

To assist therapists in completing paperwork, referrals and other appropriate forms that may be required during rehabilitation.
