Job summary

Monday -Tuesday

Monday -Friday

o To support families in understanding key developmental milestones, including gross and fine motor skills

o To work with specific children and families, in the home, clinic setting or school/nursery according to their individual care plan as agreed with the Health Visitor

o Plan, implement and evaluate health promotion activities, taking responsibility for certain topics once training received and competency assessment signed off within an agreed timeframe.

Main duties of the job

To advise parents/carers on positive parenting skills including understanding and managing child behaviour, introduction to solids and nutrition, play and stimulation, speech and language development, sleep management and toilet training, ensuring that advice is evidence based to facilitate school readiness.
