Financial Planning and Specialist Projects Business Partner
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Costing the role will work alongside the Trust's Transformation team responsible for QIPP and projects development, relevant divisions with respective finance business partner for that division, and the Commercial team, responsible for business development projects and contract management.
The post holder will provide an access point to expert financial analysis, scrutiny, support and advice. The post holder will be responsible for the submission of annual financial plan submissions and modelling the Trust's medium and long term financial planning.
Main duties of the job
Leading on complex financial modelling underpinning Trust wide transformational programmes working closely with the business.
Leading on the financial analysis and scrutiny of the Trust's QIPP planning and monitoring. This includes year around work with operational team on continual development of service sustainability plans as well as performance monitoring of established QIPP schemes.
Being the financial lead on the delivery of identified special projects related to business development, inclusive of being the technical lead for tenders for new business, and strategic partnership.
Responsible for modelling key aspects of Trust's medium & long term financial planning through the development of suitable financial modelling tools and the identification of key financial drivers and interpretation of external guidance.
Establish and manage relationships with Trust's Transformation team, Finance Business Partners, Divisional Directors and Heads of Clinical Services, Commercial team, gaining an in depth understanding of the services provided and income and costs implications.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Trust's Costing and Pricing policy and aligned tools for the appropriate pricing of services for commercial agreements.
Responsible for developing and maintaining systems and databases to effectively link the Trust's long term financial model (LTFM), QIPP plans and movements in service portfolio.

- Educated to Master's Degree level or professional equivalency (i.e. Full CCAB accountancy qualification) or equivalent combination of post graduate education/qualification (i.e. part CCAB qualified), advanced courses and experience
- Significant experience in project, planning or QIPP roles within finance
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Strong evidence of being an organisation lead on managing complex analytics
- Strong evidence of implementing new systems and approaches at a departmental level

- Able to understand and apply the concepts and techniques for budgeting, financial planning, costing, pricing and financial reporting
- Experience of providing high-level financial and business advice in a complex multi-disciplinary environment including at Management Executive level.
- Experience of successfully achieving objectives and negotiating solutions in pressurized situations when there are conflicting objectives.
- Experience of producing project output reports and analysis for Senior Managers in a manner which aids effective control and decision making.
- Extensive experience of developing complex financial models
