Registered AHP Degree Apprentice - Podiatry Apprentice -Band 4

Central London Community Healthcare Academy have partnered with the University of East London to deliver this exciting four-year apprenticeship program. Successful completion leads to Podiatry registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

We have 3 available posts (one for internal applicants only) bases are as follows:

o Westminstero Barneto Central post available to internal candidates who will remain close to or within their current division.

CLCH NHS Trust are the leading provider of community health in the United Kingdom covering 11 London Boroughs and Hertfordshire with over 900 Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) in seven professional groups. AHPs are 30% of the clinical workforce at CLCH providing assessment and treatment interventions across the lifespan from birth to end of life care.

This Podiatry Apprenticeships is designed to give talented people an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification whilst completing on-the-job training with our highly skilled clinicians. This is a developmental role over four years where you will work towards successful completion of a BSc Degree in Podiatry and be able to register with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Main duties of the job

To be considered for this post applicants will need to demonstrate a minimum of one year's experience within a clinical healthcare setting.

To qualify for the AHP Apprenticeship Programme you must meet the following criteria:

o Aged over 18 on the first day of the apprenticeship.o Work 37.5 hours per week, including any off-the-job training undertakeno Must have UK Maths and English Level 2 or GCSE Grade C/4 with original certificates.o Successfully completed study at Level 3 including Science equivalent to a minimum of 120 UCAS points, with original certificateso Not currently undertaking any other Apprenticeship or DfE FE/HE Programme at the same time as starting the apprenticeship.o Must have been an ordinary resident in the United Kingdom for three years prior to the start of the AHP Apprenticeshipo Eligible residency status - visa must cover the full duration of the AHP Apprenticeship Programme, with no renewal required during the apprenticeship.

  • oUK Maths and English level 2 with certificates to evidencee (This includes: functional skills level 2, GCSE C /4 and above or O level C or above) (Any overseas qualifications will need to be accompanied by a UK NARIC statement of comparability and English must have been studied as a first language)
  • oLevel 3 or above qualification equivalent to a minimum of 120 UCAS points including a science or healthcare subject. This can include A level, Access to Higher Education diploma, BTEC / NVQ Diploma or Extended / National Diploma with certificates
  • oApplicants are expected to demonstrate evidence of recent academic achievement, such that they may be deemed capable of study at degree level

  • Interest in undertaking further relevant studies/training course
