CLCH Hertfordshire Adult Community Services - CLCH NHS Trust provides a range of Community Services, and the Hertfordshire Division is recruiting!

Are you looking to enhance your clinical skills? Then come and join us in sexual health as we are currently recruiting a 1year fixed term 28hrs per week Band 6 Sexual Health Nurse to cover Maternity Leave for our Watford clinic.

Sexual Health Hertfordshire is a multi-professional progressive team providing a comprehensive, evidence based and patient focused service in contraception, genitourinary medicine, and HIV. We run three level 3 clinics in Hatfield, Stevenage, Watford and two level 2 clinics in Cheshunt and Elstree. The service is open Monday - Friday.

Main duties of the job

We would like to recruit an enthusiastic nurse who is passionate on delivery high quality, evidence-based healthcare. Previous experience in sexual health and contraceptive care is desired but we will consider anyone who shows a keen interest in sexual health and developing their skills with this field of practice. Full training will be given.

This post is advertised as a Band 6 but equally can be offered as a band 6 training post.

Registered Nurse with current UK NMC registration
Relevant contraceptive qualification
Evidence recent professional development
To work under Patient Group Directives (PGDs)
Recognised mentorship and preceptorship or willingness to undertake.

Desirable

STIF Level 2 competence/GUM course
Trained in fitting and removal of Implants
FSRH registered IUCD fitter or willingness to train
Non-medical Prescriber qualification
