Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 4 Community Nursery Nurse to join the Ealing Health Visiting Team. We are searching for community nursery nurses who have experience of working within early years settings or the health service and are skilled in communicating with professionals and clients from a wide variety of backgrounds.

The team are seeking dynamic individuals with a strong public health focus who are fully committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our diverse population. You will be a highly motivated individual with an interest in proactively managing health promotion initiatives.

The successful candidates must demonstrate good communication skills, be up to date in child development, be enthusiastic, motivated, with high standards of time management, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve working alongside a skill mix team which includes Health Visitors, Community Staff Nurses and Early Start workers in delivering the healthy child programme 0-19 years as well as supporting clients on the Maternal Early Childhood Sustained Home visiting (MECSH) programme.

  • To act as the link 0-19 professional for identified PVIs as peer local arrangements
  • To attend and actively participate in team, locality and other relevant meetings.
  • To be responsible for the care and safe keeping of equipment issued for personal use and to report any defect or loss.
  • To be an active member of working parties and groups e.g., shared governance, quality improvement, considering aspects of the service and professional practice as required.
  • To take an active role in promoting the health visiting service, contributing to service development activities.
