Community Nursery Nurses Westminster

Central London Community Healthcare have a new opportunity for Community Nursery Nurses to join the inner northwest division and work in Westminster. We have vacancies in Bessborough Family Hub, Portman Family Hub and Queen's Park Children's Centre. The Borough has undergone transformation leading to the implementation of universal and targeted teams that are aligned to family hubs and the wider early help programme.

The division is serviced by 20 TFL stations and 5 cross county/country stations that will help you commute and support work-related travel.

Main duties of the job

To carry out activities of the Healthy Child Programme as delegated by the Health Visitor within the team in accordance with agreed protocols, acting on own initiative as appropriate to level of knowledge.

To advise parents/carers on positive parenting skills including understanding and managing child behaviour, introduction to solids and nutrition, play and stimulation, speech and language development, sleep management and toilet training, ensuring that advice is evidence based to facilitate school readiness.

To support families in understanding key developmental milestones, including gross and fine motor skills.

To work with specific children and families, in the home, clinic setting or school/nursery according to their individual care plan as agreed with the Health Visitor.es of the job.

To work in partnership with Early Help in the Family Hubs.
