About us

Working as an autonomous practitioner, supported by the wider rehabilitation service team, your role will be to assess mobility, posture and seating needs, helping adults to regain their independence following illness or injury and supporting with long term conditions. The role may also include some supervision of rehab support workers and Occupational Therapy students on placements.

- An understanding of the range and applications of adaptive aids. Knowledge of professional standards including record keeping
- Knowledge of national policies and procedures relevant to adults.
- An understanding of the principles of clinical governance.
- Good presentation skills in both verbal and written form
- Good organisational skills including prioritisation
- Ability to negotiate with and facilitate learning in others
- Ability to be an effective team member.
- High level of interpersonal communication skills including observation, listening, empathy and sensitivity.
