Job summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Children's Community Nursing Service in our Children's Division We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Children's Nurse to join our Palliative Care Service who is looking to develop their skills in the largest community healthcare trust in London

The post holder will work within the Children's Community Nursing Service, to support the running of the Kaleidoscope Team, for children with complex care and palliative care needs, working in conjunction with the Kaleidoscope Palliative Care Team, Children's Community Nursing Team and Social Services. The post holder will support the recruitment, training and development of the Children's Care Workers, and work within the Children's Palliative Care Team, deputising for the Nurse Specialist to provide continuity of service.

This post is for 30 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly over Monday to Friday, hours at weekends and evenings will occasionally be required to meet the needs of children at End of Life, and to provide training and support to the kaleidoscope care workers in their roles. We offer a 24/7 on call service to support children and families during End of Life.

Main duties of the job

Kaleidoscope Nurse

You will need to be passionate about children's nursing, enjoy working as a team as well as being autonomous, flexible, and keen to develop this exciting service. You will be nominally based in Westbourne Park, but must be flexible in your approach and willing to travel across the organisational footprint.
