Job summary

CLCH Hertfordshire Adult Community Services - CLCH NHS Trust provides a range of Community Services, and the Hertfordshire Division is recruiting!

The Speciality Doctor will work within a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals including nursing staff, pharmacists, allied health professionals and medical staff. You will undertake a range of essential routine tasks under the supervision and delegated authority of the relevant senior doctor in charge of the clinical area in which you are employed.

The role is suitable for those doctors who have full GMC registration with a licence to practice, without any restrictions, and who have experience of working in an inpatient ward environment.

Please note, this is not a training role, but doctors who work regularly on the units will have an opportunity for continuing professional development.

Main duties of the job

The Speciality Doctor will work within a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals including nursing staff, pharmacists, allied health professionals and medical staff. You will work in a clinical team under the supervision and delegated authority of the senior doctor. You will work in a direct relationship with a senior doctor appropriate for the clinical setting. At times, this supervision may be virtual.

The post will require you to work flexibly in a shift pattern (including late days, but no nights or weekends).

Essential

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Full registration with the GMC and Licence to Practice (or eligible for)
  • Completed Foundation Training (FY1 and FY2)
  • Two years post-Foundation Training experience
  • Compliant with Appraisal and Revalidation requirements
  • Up to date Resuscitation and Safeguarding Training.

Desirable

  • MRCP, DGM or equivalent
  • Speciality Doctor with training in relevant area e.g., Elderly Care Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine.
