Are you looking for an interesting and varied Clinical support worker (RSW) post working in a Parkinson's MDT Team in a clinic-based setting?
We have a part-time (permanent) Band 3 CSW post in our Barnet Parkinson's Service working within our adult integrated MDT Parkinson's team (the service comprises specialist nurses, doctors, dietetics, OT, PT, SLT).
We offer care mainly in a clinic setting with some virtual clinics, group exercises, and therapy sessions. This post offers a variety and opportunities to develop the range of your clinical skills as well as joint working with a range of professionals and opportunities to contribute to service development.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a skilled, motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker who is interested in this patient group and would like to join us. The post would be suitable for an existing band 3 CSW.

Job responsibilities
- To contribute to the on-going assessment of a patient by completing the appropriate paperwork for allocated patients, recording and reporting all clinical and behavioral information to the nurse/therapist for action and planning purposes.
- To undertake, and report back on delegated clinical activities that have previously been signed competent. Eg: vital signs, routine urinalysis, glucose monitoring, monitoring patients in the unit and carrying out some assessments (e.g. MOCA, parts of UPDRS) to assist in the running of the clinic under the supervision of a PDSN or clinician.
- gait/mobility training, falls prevention awareness groups, increasing independence through activities of daily living
- To enable patients/carers to make most effective use of resources within the service by ensuring they receive up-to-date information sheets, responding to any questions constructively

- oWillingness to undertake further training as appropriate

- oRegistration with the national regulatory body (when it becomes available).
