Job summary

Are youa Nursing Associate interested in progressing towards a career as a Registered Nurse?

CLCH Academy has partnered with the University of West London to deliver the Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship (Recognition of Prior Learning) programme. The academic programme lasts for 20 months and will commence in April 2024.

During the program you will gain a wide range of clinical nursing skills in a variety of areas, while also undertaking a degree in nursing, leading to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse - Adult.

We are seeking individuals with an existing healthcare qualification equivalent to a foundation degree, such as a Nursing Associate or Assistant Practitioner course, who are eligible for the academic Registered Nurse Degree Apprentice programme. Applicants must have experience at Band 4 level within a Nursing Associate, Assistant Practitioner, or equivalent role, to access this programme.

Main duties of the job

Start date of the apprenticeship:April 2024

Interview dates: week commencing 05 February 2024

Applicants will need a keen interest in working in our adult nursing services, and for the duration of their apprenticeship will be based with one of our integrated locality teams.

The Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship attracts a Band 4 salary. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to progress into a Band 5 Registered Nurse role.

Future career progression opportunities include the District Nursing specialist practitioner pathway

Applicants may start working on a mutually agreed date prior to the commencement of the formal programme in April 2024, in order to complete local induction and gain some experience working in the community nursing team prior to the commencement of the academic programme at the University of West London.
