Job summary

Our ambition is to make working in Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust an attractive career opportunity for clinical staff from Health Care Assistant through to Advanced Practitioner. In order to help achieve this ambition we are looking for Practice Development Nurse to join the CLCH Academy to promote and facilitate practice development within our community nursing teams. As a PDN you will join the CLCH Academy Team where you will be supported with your development whether this is at undergraduate or post graduate level.

We currently have a 12-month fixed term contract or secondment to work in Brent

So if you are an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced community nurse and want to develop your teaching, supervising and assessment skills within a supportive team then this could be the opportunity for you.

Main duties of the job

The Practice Development Nurse will be expected to:

  • Promote high standards of care through the demonstration of clinical expertise
  • Facilitate the creation of a positive learning environment in the work place where staff development is encouraged and supported
  • Facilitate the induction, education and continuing professional development for all levels of registered and non-registered nursing staff within the Nursing Teams
  • Work alongside staff in individual teams undertaking a key role in practice development
  • Translate Academy priorities such as changes in nursing standards, new clinical roles such as Apprentriceships into their designated service
