Sustainability Data Analyst -Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in a career within Sustainability and Data Analysis in the NHS. The purpose of the role is to provide analytical support to the Energy & Estates Decarbonisation Manager to deliver the estates decarbonisation programme across Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) and West London NHS Trust (WLT), alongside the opportunity to propose and manage projects.

CLCH and West London NHS Trust (West London) have formed a strategic partnership for sustainability. Whilst employed by CLCH this role will be required to work across both Trusts on a 50:50 time split, leading the engagement agenda.

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Data collection and analysis to track, monitor progress towards estates decarbonisation and energy cost optimisation
  • Support to report on progress, both internally and externally
  • Research low carbon technologies and best practice in estates decarbonisation
  • Support with funding application both internally and externally

Main duties of the job

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) providescommunity health services to more than two million people across eleven London boroughs and Hertfordshire.

We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously. The Trust has a Green Plan in support of the national environmental sustainability agenda and the NHS programme "For a Greener NHS". Our Green Plan details a wide range of projects to minimise the Trust's environmental impact and reduce carbon emissions. These cover areas like estates and energy use, waste and recycling, remote working and travel.

The purpose of the role is to provide analytical support to the Energy & Estates Decarbonisation Manager to deliver the estates decarbonisation programme across Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) and West London NHS Trust (WLT), alongside the opportunity to propose and manage projects.

West London NHS Trust is one of the most diverse providers of mental health, community and social care in the UK. The Trust has around 4,000 staff caring for people in hospital and in the community, helping them recover and go on to lead productive lives. It has a strong commitment to the NHS net zero plan.

The role will require a presence at physical sites both at CLCH and West London. The ability to travel between sites by public transport, active travel (cycle) or car will therefore be important.
