Project Manager (Transformation Team) - Band 7 - Merton

Due to team expansion, we are looking for two efficient project managers with positive mindsets and outstanding people skills to work in our Transformation team.

You will be project lead with your own varied portfolio of clinical and non-clinical projects across Merton, Wandsworth, and Richmond. You will be expected to lead project teams and implement change ideas to create transformative healthcare, which is delivered to timeframe, reportable and within budget.

You will be managing all project documentation e.g. Initiation documentation, Risk/action logs in excel, and reporting on project timeframes.

You will be disseminating complex information to a wide range of stakeholders (both internal and external) so an ability to adapt your communication style is essential.

You will be line managing project staff, attending Transformation Boards, and being the representative for our area on key central projects.

Main duties of the job

The post is based at Merton Civic Centre in Morden, Monday-Friday 9-5pm. There will be some travel across sites in Merton, Wandsworth and Richmond as required for specific project work. Flexible working patterns can be discussed at interview.

You should be able to evidence a passion for change management with internal drive and resilience. You should have excellent attention to detail, an ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and maintain and build relationships with clinical staff and senior managers.

Job responsibilities

This post is a key part of the transformation team in South West Division, you will be responsible for leading and managing delivery of a number of projects across Merton, Wandsworth & Richmond. The post holder will be responsible for the planning, delivery, reporting and effective management of a wide range of Trust wide, divisional and service level projects within the division.

The post holder will be responsible for:

  • Managing and leading specific projects within the South West Division, which includes developing and managing project plans, reporting progress, and undertaking risk and issue management to ensure effective and timely delivery.
  • Managing and contributing to the reporting of progress/under performance of projects and programmes and escalating issues in a timely way.
  • Working directly with Heads of Clinical Services, Clinical leads, staff and relevant stakeholders to deliver specified projects with tight timeframes.
  • Support divisions in developing robust QIPP schemes.
  • Linking the elements of Transformation with Clinical Quality and Quality Improvements in a proactive approach.
  • Take line management responsibility for other team members as required.
  • Contributing to the smooth running of the Transformation Board.
