Job summary

As part of our continued development and delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, we are recruiting for Community Nursery Nurses in Brent. We are looking for someone who is nurturing, can inspire others to join our team on a full time basis. You will have the opportunity to work with families at home and in a variety of community settings in one of the most interesting and diverse boroughs in London.

You will be part of a multi skilled team and will:

Be motivated, dynamic, skilled and a creative nursery nurse who wants to make a difference to the very beginning of a child's life

Main duties of the job

You will have excellent knowledge of infant and child development, experience of working with families in the community and a good understanding of the role of the Health Visitor and how the Community Nursery Nurse role contributes to this

Have a great team to support and develop you

Regular supervision and opportunities for learning and development.

Access to a wide range of training, education and skills to help you develop your practice working with families and young children.

Opportunities to deliver components of the Healthy Child Programme and Healthy Nutrition Sessions.

Hold an NVQ Level 3 Childcare, Learning and Development (or an equivalent Early Years Qualification)

Have a good understanding of the EYFS

Have previous experience working with children

Have a good understanding of all safeguarding and child protection procedures

Applicants must have a relevant qualification in child development and health or willingness to undertake training to support the role.
