Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join North West London (NWL) Procurement Services as a key member of the Procurement service.

North West London (NWL) Procurement Services provides a single shared service for nine NHS partner organisations. The new procurement service for NHS partner organisations in North West London supports the development of new commercial opportunities throughout the sector and provide partners in the sector with support for procurement and materials management, as well as the management of outsourced contracts. The service brings together in-house procurement teams from across the sector, is hosted centrally by Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH) and governed by a Board consisting of Chief Financial Officer Representatives from each organisation.

The shared service enables partner organisations to increase efficiency, deliver more from supply partners and improve the overall service experience for stakeholders, staff and patients. The nine partner organisations are:

  • Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH)
  • Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL)
  • Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (CWHT)
  • The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (THHT)

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Catalogue Assistant to join our Procurement team. The duties of the post will include, but not limited to:-

  • Proactively managing our product catalogue, liaising with supplier and dealing with queries, e.g. invoice related, which arise.
  • Providing training and support to the Procurement team and end-users throughout the Trust.
  • Taking a hands-on role in the updating, testing and maintaining of the software systems within the Procurement Department, using your skills to produce reports for colleagues.
  • The ideal candidate should enjoy working as part of a team, be motivated, keen to learn and able to influence. Someone who is able to methodically deal with information and data, an enthusiastic, well organized person with experience of working with the Purchasing and Supply environment.
