Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our One Care Home Therapy Team. One Care Home Team operate in care homes in Barnet seeing primarily elderly and also often frail clients, they may have complex needs and multi-morbidities. The main team consists of Nursing and Therapy staff but work closely with a range of elderly care physicians and other medical staff.

The therapy team are responsible for seeing clients referred to us from GPs, hospitals, care homes and other services. The main aim of the therapy team is to maximise the functional independence of clients and improve their quality of life.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for team players with a positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent holistic care and interventions, and an interest in working in Elderly Care.

The successful applicant will receive regular supervision; have access to a wide range of development opportunities to support their continued professional development.

This role will suit someone who is passionate about elderly care in the community, with the clinical skills and personal skills to bring about meaningful outcomes for clients, and the energy and drive to contribute to service development.

  • Evidence of up to date CPD portfolio

  • Attendance at specialist short courses or equivalent CPD activities within the specialist areas of Adult Rehabilitation, Falls, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Older People Rehabilitation
  • Member of CSP
