We are seeking two experienced Operational Managers who are passionate about delivering high quality and efficient community services. Our clinical services work within an operating division that are arranged in Clinical Business Units and we are seeking two CBU managers to lead a number of service across the Inner North West Division. One role with focus on Bedded units, Walk in centres and Specialist palliative care, whilst the other will focus on Children's services.
Main duties of the job
CLCH's clinical services are organised into Clinical Business Units, and these are divided between Divisions. The aim is to cluster clinical services together in a way that makes the most sense in terms of geography, clinical pathways/linkages, devolves management decision making to lowestworkable level, ensures manageable spans of control, promotes multidisciplinary working, and facilitates commissioner-friendly engagement.
The CBUs vary in terms of the complexity and scope of services, commissioner relationships, budget, staff numbers and risk. The banding of individual CBU Managers varies in relation to such factors, and is banded at 8c and 8b.
The CBU Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of clinical services, ensuring wherever possible, operational decisions are taken and problems are resolved within the CBU.

You will need to demonstrate effective leadership skills alongside significant experience managing multi-disciplinary teams; effective communication; be adept with data and business intelligence; be able to advise the Divisional Leadership Team of risks and issues and solve operational and day to day management hurdles using previous experience and your own initiative. You will also need to demonstrate sound financial judgement and be able to develop and deliver robust financial plans.
Deliver a portfolio of high quality clinical services to commissioner performance standards; manage CBU budgets and resources effectively in line with agreed business plans/priorities;
Line manage Team Leaders, identifying exceptional performance and supporting organisational Talent Management processes;
Accountable for leading CBU service improvement programmes to raise standards of practice, productivity and value for money;
Provide leadership around standards and behaviours for CBU staff to ensure the CBU is clinically led and performance orientated
Working with the Director of Operations (DOP), liaise with commissioners/GPs to proactively resolve operational issues;
Provide early warning visibility of problem/concerns to DOP, offering potential solutions based on information/data analysis.
