An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Adults Community Services Division for the role of Deputy Divisional Director. The postholder will be responsible for the overall operational delivery and service improvement of the Community Nursing Services, Specialist Services and Divisional Administration.
Delivering Community services to the people of Birmingham and making it a great place to grow old in requires constant change transformation making sure that the patient is at the centre of all decisions, therefore you will need to able to transform, share the vision and implement changes effectively at team level.
The breadth of community services we lead is exciting and this is a critical role within the Adult Community Division, you will be highly visible within the division and provide inspiring leadership. You will be a strong voice for staff within Community Nursing Services and Specialist Services and be able to lead with compassion. You will work collaboratively with the Divisional Senior Leadership Team to ensure the effective provision of high quality, safe services against agreed outcome measures, service level agreements, performance, activity and financial targets. You will provide caring, inclusive and compassionate leadership and support the Division and the Trust in being a "Great Place to Work".

The Deputy Divisional Director will oversee the allocation of resource across the respective services to ensure that effective plans are in place to deliver against agreed activity plans and will include the application of effective rota management, demand and capacity modelling as well as, along with the Divisional Director of Nursing and Therapies and Divisional Medical Director
Oversee recruitment and retention of workforce across the respective services.
Representing the division on corporate and Strategic Groups as requested by the Divisional Director, Divisional Director of Nursing and Therapies and Divisional Medical Director
Assisting the Divisional Director, Divisional Director of Nursing and Therapies and Divisional Medical Director to produce an annual efficiency and productivity (CIP) programme and work with all senior managers to develop strategies to meet CIP targets and local delivery
Monitoring of the Division's annual Business Plan and Workforce Plan clinical strategy to ensure integrated governance and business objectives are driven forward across the division.
We need you to have extensive knowledge, skill and experience in delivering community services, community nursing, community waiting times and service transformation. You will need to have a proven track record in managing highly complex services which include staff from all levels within the organisation and across a range of professional and organisational boundaries.

- In collaboration with the Group Clinical Manager/Lead Matron and Group Manager promote effective structures and processes and a culture of delivery and collective working and ensure robust communication systems exist for the dissemination of information to Teams.
- To work in conjunction with Information colleagues to introduce systems that ensure the collection and analysis of complex data for continuous performance measurement of services within the Group(s) listed in appendix 1
- To lead on developing Divisional reports and presentations to provide operational assurance at various committees and Trust-wide meetings where required

- To work in close liaison with the Divisional Finance Business Partner (and the wider finance team) to ensure appropriate delegation of budget to Group Management and lead in setting, forecasting, managing and monitoring service budgets.
- To be Divisional lead and work in collaboration with corporate colleagues across Digital Technology Services, Estates & Facilities and Performance, Contracting & Information, to ensure that the appropriate infrastructure is in place and that services are meeting the agreed local and national targets.
