Physiotherapy Apprenticeship
Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHCT) is offering this Allied Health Professional (AHP) Apprenticeship in Physiotherapy at both a BSc (4 year) and MSc (2 year) Level. This is a work-based course that combines work and academic learning in conjunction with Coventry University. This will mainly involve attendance at university (1-2 days per week dependant on academic route), as well as completion of practical placements in a variety of clinical settings, whilst working in the trust.
Main duties of the job
As an Apprentice you will be based, as a paid employee, within BCHC. Whilst you will be allocated to one specific area, you will experience working across both internal and external placements in partnership with local acute & community Trusts in the Birmingham & Solihull area to gain an appreciation of the different areas of local healthcare service and meet the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) requirements.
Ordinarily, attendance is expected 1-2 day per week (dependant on route) at University with the remaining days of the week at the work base. You will also have some time on clinical placement within other Trusts / clinical areas.
On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will be able to join the HCPC register as a registered AHP
