We have some fantastic opportunities for enthusiastic and experienced individuals with strong organisational skills to join our community nursing teams in the Central locality of Birmingham as a Team Administrator. You will be joining us at an exciting time when over the next 6 months there will be changes to community nursing teams across the Central Locality as part of a programme of transformation. Therefore, although you will be based within the CentralLocality your base may change when in post.
Service hours
Hours of work will initially be Monday - Friday 9am-5pm but following the transformation the requirements will change depending on whether you work with one of our four new 'planned' community nursing teams or the 'unplanned' team. The hours of work for the Team Administrators in the new teams are set out below:
- Planned Teams - Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with no bank holiday working
- Unplanned Team - the service will operate 7 days/week from 8am - 6pm including bank holidays, therefore there will be a requirement for you to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Several shift patterns will be available across the hours of 8am-6pm and we would encourage you to discuss these flexible options with us if you are considering applying for these posts.
Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive administrative support to the Integrated Multi-Disciplinary Team including typing of letters, minutes of meetings and other documentation.Implement and maintain central filing systems for patient records, patient information, care plan documentation and staff documentation.Undertake office duties such as photocopying and replenishing information as required by the District Nurses.Answer non-clinical queries from clients and their relatives seeking advice from the Nursing Staff.
