Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Service Support Team which sits within the heart of the Digital Technology Services Department (formerly ICT). The team is looking to expand its Clinical Systems application support and requires a proactive individual to work alongside colleagues to deliver onsite and remote support to the Trust's clinical systems users.

The role will primarily support the Trusts Electronic Patient Record system known as Rio, alongside other local and national NHS systems.

The support team are based in Birmingham Science Park in Aston but there will be a requirement to travel to any one of BCHC's or its partners locations as and when necessary.

Experience of working in a busy first & second line support environment is essential, knowledge of NHS clinical systems would be advantageous.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide a Specialist Application Support function for the Trust as well as working closely with colleagues, which include internal and external administrative & clinical staff and third party suppliers ensuring that incidents and requests are resolved within applicable Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in place between the Trust and third party suppliers and to also report on these.As outlined in the Job Description, the post holder will be responsible for the day to day configuration of the patient administration and clinical systems, thoroughly documenting practices and processes for all areas of the service support team. They will work closely with service support team and members of the informatics, Optimisation and Business Change teams to make recommendations on process and re-design of key services within the Trusts EPR system and other related systems.Full duties are listed within the Job Description document attached.
