Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for the preparation of monthly budgetary control reports, analysing and reporting resultant variances to Senior Managers of the Trust.
The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that all expenditure and income due to the Trust is correctly accounted for, including raising of any necessary charges to both internal and external bodies and the monitoring of actual expenditure incurred and income received.
The post holder will also be expected to assist in the preparation of financial returns for the Trust.
Main duties of the job
BCHC delivers a range of healthcare services across a number of sites and specialties. The Finance Department provides financial expertise and support to the budget holders for the delivery of these services.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Financial Management Accounting Team for two individuals who are looking to progress their careers in accounting.
BCHC is seeking two highly motivated and ambitious people for the roles of Senior Management Accountant in the Learning Disabilities Division (0.8 wte) and the Childrens & Families Division Finance teams (1 wte).
The ideal candidates will have good analytical and communication skills. The candidates will also require the ability to liaise closely with Senior Managers, Clinicians and Budget holder.
The post holders will be responsible for working within a team in financial management and will be involved in the production of accurate and timely budgetary and other financial information for budget holders and senior managers.
Both posts will be working as part of a hybrid model with the expectation of working at the Finance department's base at Priestley Wharf and home working. The postholders may also be required to attend meetings at the Trust's other sites.
