Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust [BCHC] are now seeking to recruit an experienced Head of Capital Planning [Band 8b]. BCHC operates across a wide portfolio of Healthcare Estates in the Birmingham and surrounding area and specialices in the management and development of health care property in the Community Care sector.
Main duties of the job
BCHC are now seeking to recruit a Head of Capital Planning to join the team in Birmingham, in taking an important role in leading the project management team in the delivery of Capital and other projects. The Post holder will be acountable for the Estates & Facilities Capital Programme across the entire Trust's estate to ensure a safe, complaint and commercially economical Capital Programme and Projects are delivered and achieved.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and supporting the delivery of the Estates Strategy in order to provide the physical environment to match the service aspirations and to meet service user and staff expectation, within increasingly challenging financial constraints.
Responsible for the prioritisation and delivery of the Estates & Facilities - Capital Planned Programme Schemes including Backlog Maintenance on all of the Trusts sites.
As a delegated budget holder; the post holder will be responsible for the efficient and effective development, implementation and co-ordination of the Trusts Capital Planned Programe ranging from approximately £5 - £15 million pound per annum.
This is an exciting and varied opportunity to lead the delivery of capital projects as part of an in-house Estates team that delivers excellent value and quality of service within the NHS.
