Job summary

HMP are looking for a well-organised, enthusiastic individual who can support the day-to-day operational management within HMP Birmingham and undertake the role of Operational Lead, the right person will also work closely with our Inpatients wards to ensure collaboratively working.

The right candidate will have the relevant experience to lead a Team, support them in managing a challenging and patient-centred workload, as well as adapting to changing priorities where the service needs require a responsive approach , looking at good ways of working, as well as a willingness to be flexible across the hours of service.

We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of care and as the service continues to grow and develop, a 'can-do' approach for recognising areas of improvement, would be an asset.

Main duties of the job

The role requires the post holder to utilise their business experience and skills in the leadership of administrative teams and to support the business aspects of the service.

They will have a delegated responsibility reporting to the inpatients operational business manager in leading on non-clinical aspects of the service. They will be required to work with limited supervision and would have freedom to act within the limits of their competence and the remit of the job.

The post also includes some Administration duties to support the Primary Care Service Manager and inpatients operational business manager.
