A fantastic opportunity has been created to expand the current provision of specialist, community-based MSK Services to the people of our diverse and vibrant city.
We are looking for highly experienced, Masters level educated, Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join our large MSK Service which offers Orthopaedic Triage, FCP and Pain Management Specialties in addition to core Physiotherapy MSK Out-Patient clinics in 20 locations across the city.
The current vacancies fall within the Orthopaedic Triage part of the MSK Service. Clinics are provided citywide however current demand suggests the likely location of these posts will be in the South and East of Birmingham. There will also be an expectation to travel to meetings and education events across the geography of the Trust.
The successful applicants will need to be highly motivated and be able to demonstrate evidence of substantial post-graduate experience of working within an Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy environment. Main duties of the job
We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about providing first class assessment & treatment to people with a variety of both chronic and acute MSK disorders.You will need experience in requesting and interpretation of various diagnostic imaging media, injection therapy and of operating as an autonomous first line assessor of complex MSK conditions. You should be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge & evidence of CPD in MSK Physiotherapy & be prepared to contribute to our comprehensive IST Programme & Clinical Interest Groups.
You will be responsible for managing your own patient caseload within a supportive & experienced team and it is likely that you will supervise and appraise junior members of staff and students. There will be the opportunity to initiate, lead on & contribute to Service Development initiatives and be involved in regular audits and other Research activity.

- Physiotherapy degree or equivalent.
- Masters degree or equivalent in the field of orthopaedic musculoskeletal management or evidence of equivalent academic intellectual level.
- Certified evidence of relevant post registration training in assessment/diagnosis/treatment
Desirable
- Qualified/working towards diploma in injection therapy.
