Are you a senior clinician (nursing or allied health professional) with the passion to make a real difference supporting the delivery of Best Care in Healthy Communities. You will be responsible for maintaining and embedding the Trust's temporary staffing business goals, vision and values through the provision of a proactive, effective Temporary Staffing Service, you will support clinical and non-clinical service delivery and high-quality patient care Trust wide.You will have a passion for providing senior clinical leadership and expertise to the Temporary Staffing Service, developing and implementing a range of clinical and non-clinical/management interventions for staff as outlined in the main duties of this post. Clinically reporting to the Associate Director of Nursing/Chief AHP, you will be supported to professionally develop your skills and competencies and have the opportunity to shape how we deliver Best Care with exposure to professional forums working collaboratively with Divisional clinical colleagues and external stakeholders.You will also work closely with the temporary staffing management team, coordination teams, HR and the Executive team to ensure that the Temporary Staffing Service provides an effective and efficient temporary staffing service.You will support minimising and eliminating risk to the Trust by ensuring compliance with internal and external rules and regulations impacting on temporary staffing delivery.

BCHC have an exciting opportunity for a senior practicing nurse or therapist to lead and manage our Temporary Staffing Department!
Our Temporary Staffing team makes a vital contribution to all our services by working closely with our clinical staff and managers to ensure that staffing gaps are covered making this a busy and vibrant team. The Head of Temporary Staffing is a key role within the HR senior management team and across the Trust as a whole, as well as working with external partners across Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board (ICB). This is the ideal opportunity for a senior nurse or therapist with the right skills and experience to make a real difference.
Working as part of a dynamic team, you will lead the team to support with the delivery of an efficient customer focused and clinically effective service, working in close partnership with our Clinical Divisions. You will have core responsibility for ensuring the delivery of a proactive and effective customer friendly service to demanding volumes and key performance indicators as well as supporting our temporary workforce.
This will involve collaboration and partnership with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure retention initiatives are developed and implemented. To be successful you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have temporary staffing knowledge and the skills to lead, set direction and motivate a busy team, as well as a good knowledge of general HR compliance.

Provide strong and visible senior clinical input and general leadership to the team, ensuring that the Trusts values and behaviours are embedded in Temporary Staffing policies and Standard Operating Procedures and systems for temporary staff in line with national, professional and Trust policies;
Provide clinical support and clinical supervision to clinical management team.
Provide effective clinical and professional leadership to clinical bank workers including nurses, therapists and non-qualified clinical workers and provide clinical supervision and revalidation support as required to support clinical temporary workers, liaising with Divisional clinical leads as appropriate and necessary.
Identify, report and manage clinical risks associated with the bank and overview of nonclinical complaints and incidents which are managed by the Operations Manager/Systems and Compliance Manager for their respective areas of responsibility Overall responsibility for ensuring that all clinical complaints are managed in a timely manner and in accordance with Trust processes and procedures and that the Temporary Staffing clinical support roles manage these effectively, escalating where appropriate.
Ensure that clinical risks are evaluated and inputted on to the risk register.
