Continuing demand and internal promotion means we have more vacancies for dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Specialist Speech and Language Therapists.
We would like to recruit a number of Specialist Speech and Language Therapists who have proven experience of successful collaborative working with schools and/or nursery staff. You must be highly organized, have clinical expertise in paediatrics, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. The successful candidates will benefit from having experience in working in specialist educational settings and/or mainstream settings.
The BCHC Plus Programme enables schools and other settings to purchase additional therapy services, supplementing those provided under 'Core' services funded by local health commissioning, and specifically meeting individual school needs.
You will be working across the large and diverse city of Birmingham, with a caseload of children and young people with a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs.
Main duties of the job
You will work with a group of named schools as a trusted clinical member of their extended professional team, supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential. Attending your schools to an agreed regular schedule, you will provide Speech and Language Therapy services tailored to their agreed needs and outcomes using a combination of Universal, Targeted, and Specialist approaches.

Access to reliable transport or means of travel is essential. The post-holder may be required to transport therapy assessments and resources on a regular basis.
