Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and resilient nurse specialist/ team lead to take up this exciting role. You will play a pivotal leadership role in driving forward change and delivering the vision of the Lincolnshire Community Cardiology service.

This is a truly exciting time to join the team. Lincolnshire is embarking on a major transformation within Cardiology services and you will be joining at a time where you can influence the direction and deliver the changes needed.

Main duties of the job

To work as an accountable and autonomouspractitioner and act as lead specialist and source ofexpertise in cardiac rehabilitation.

To provide strategic and clinical leadership toinfluence the development and delivery of localcardiac rehabilitation services.

To oversee and ensure high quality, efficient andeffective service delivery.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registration Nurse holding current NMC registration (adult) or equivalent level of experience.
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience working at senior level in a specialist cardiovascular service.
  • Advanced qualification or sustained expert management experience in cardiac rehabilitation or similar cardiovascular specialist service.
  • Qualifications in physical history and clinical assessment, Independent Non-Medical Prescribing or commitment to undertake as part of Continued Professional Development
  • Basic life support training

Desirable

  • Evidence of clinical leadership training
  • ECG interpretation qualification/training
  • Independent and Supplementary Non-medical Prescribing or willingness to undertake

Skills

Essential

  • Strong analytical skills to support assessment and manage of people with complex cardiovascular disease
  • Able to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and integrated care systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, IT and presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, with excellent time management skills and prioritise own workload
  • Ability to design, deliver and evaluate training

  • Demonstrates specialist knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular conditions, complications, and management.

  • Previous experience of staff and budget management

  • Experience of community working and understands complexities and issues within the local community o
  • Experience in ECG interpreting skills and ability to act on adverse results
  • Able to produce reports, create presentations and analyse data
