Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Leg Ulcer Nurse in Leg Ulcer Clinics within LCHSIdeally candidates will have experience of working with patients who have leg ulcers or an interest in wound management.This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with aspirations of a career or special interest in leg ulcer management to step into a specialist post. The successful post holders need to be motivated and committed to delivering best practice in leg ulcer management as well as developing self-management.You will be working within leg ulcer clinics for 3 days a week in Long Sutton and 2 days a week will be required to cover across Spalding and Welland Leg ulcer clinics. The vacancy covers the SE Lincs Leg ulcer clinics so you will be required to travel to all the clinics in this area. We are looking for nurses who have a particular interest in leg ulcer management, who can be flexible, self-motivated and able to work independently. The successful candidates will work within a supportive environment, alongside the Band 6 Specialist Nurse.
working pattern: 37.5 hours but may consider 30 hours

Main duties of the job
Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of leg ulcer patients following the latest evidence-based practice following the trust pathwayManaging a caseload of patients Monitoring referrals and ordering of clinic stockPromoting shared self-care to reduce reoccurrenceWorking autonomously in a leg ulcer clinic within a wider team of leg ulcer cliniciansProviding cover in other leg ulcer clinics when necessary
