Main duties of the job

Applications are invited for reliable and flexible administrator/ receptionist to work within the Spalding GP Practice at Johnson Community Hospital.

All members of the team are required to be flexible, responsive and timely in order to ensure accessibility and equity to all patients to meet the needs of the service in a flexible manner.

You must be an Administrator/Receptionist with experience of working within an A&E Minor Injuries Unit, General Medical Practice or similar setting. Ideally you will have experience in the use of SystmOne although training will be provided. You must have excellent customer care and communication skills and be highly motivated and flexible in your approach to ensure we maintain a high quality service delivery to our patient population.

Please be advised that you will be required to attend an Induction for this post which is held over several days at Lincoln and then yearly for Mandatory Training (one day only).

  • Evidence of recent and continuing development

  • NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
  • ECDL or equivalent IT skills

Previous Experience

Essential

  • oExperience of working in a busy administrative environment, delivering a full range of administrative procedures including answering the phone and data inputting, management of records and information in an office environment.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working in the NHS

Evidence of Skills/ knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection legislation and is able to use discretion where necessary
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships at all levels internally and externally
