We are looking for a dynamic HR Business Partner to join our HR team.

As one of the HR Business Partners you will have a key role in the senior HR team in supporting our service areas in delivery of both the Trust's objectives and People Strategy and the national People Plan.

Main duties of the job

You will develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders and provide senior HR expertise on the full range of HR issues including employee relations, recruitment and retention, attendance, change management, workforce planning, talent management, terms and conditions of employment and policies and procedures.

You will also provide effective leadership for your HR sub-team, with a focus on empowerment and engagement and should have previous line management experience.

You must have substantial HR expertise at a senior level within a large, complex organisation in a highly unionised environment. You will have the ability to establish immediate credibility at all levels and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as creativity of approach to HR solutions.

The contractual base for this role is Beech House, Lincoln, however the Trust is supportive of agile working and there is the ability to work from home on a regular basis.

Essential

  • Masters/Level 7 qualification in HR related field or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD) or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of relevant and continuing CPD

Desirable

  • Post-graduate level qualification in OD related subject area eg coaching, facilitation, mentoring

Previous Experience

Essential

  • Senior HR professional with substantial experience of working at a senior level in a very large, complex organisation in a highly unionised environment
  • Significant experience taking the lead on complex employee relations area providing specialist, professional support in relation to change management, TUPE, restructures, redundancy, absence management, recruitment and retention, terms and conditions
  • Previous experience of leadership and line management including performance and capability
  • Evidence of effective partnership working with union representatives, including leading on complex employee relations case

Desirable

  • Experience in planning, developing and delivering HR and OD interventions
  • Previous experience of advising on medical and dental terms and conditions

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
