Job summary
Following transformation of the service we are looking for a podiatrist with proven experience in MSK and diabetes to join our dynamic forward-thinking team.
Our team consists of 23 podiatrists, podiatry apprentices and podiatry assistants working out of 8 community clinics, 4 community hospitals and with 1 local acute trust.
Main duties of the job
Lead our small MSK service for patients with high-risk medical conditions. Working as an independent autonomous professional you will manage the department caseload but also support and motivate our clinicians to use their skills and experience.
Work in diabetes MDFT Clinics providing wound care but also ensuring prevention of reoccurrence is maximised for this cohort of patients.
Working with service users to develop outcome focused treatment plans.
As an advanced specialist podiatrist you will use advanced knowledge in both MSK and diabetes to assess and treat complex cases in a holistic way.
Training newly qualified podiatrists and apprentice podiatrists and upskilling our current podiatrists to ensure all patients can have offloading as part of their treatment plan.
Liaising with other local stakeholders and healthcare providers to ensure our patients receive a seamless level of care.
