Job summary
The Learning and Development Team are delighted to offer this opportunity for a registered clinician to share the Preceptorship Lead role with our current Lead. This is a permanent role building on the work that has already been done to create an excellent preceptorship programme. If you are passionate about working with newly qualified staff to enable them to transition from student to autonomous practitioner. There are additional responsibilities within the role for the wider Learning and Development team so that it is a good opportunity to development your skills in training management.
The post holder will work with multiple stakeholders within the organisation, build support networks and relationships with peers across the Herts & West Essex AHP faculty, and link closely with the regional and national programmes of work in this area; it is a great opportunity to grow your network and exposure to develop your career.
The post holder would ideally have senior clinical experience as well as experience in developing others and managing the delivery of a project.
You will work closely with HCT's AHP and Nursing Workforce Strategy Leads and Head of Learning & Development on delivery, receiving support and guidance as required.
Main duties of the job
- This post focuses on the implementation of preceptorship for newly qualified practitioners and is central to the delivery of clinical based support, education and training. The post holder will provide effective leadership and management to ensure the further development of high quality preceptorship programme.
- The post holder will also work with others on the Adult Clinical Training programme to ensure that this is fit for purpose
- The post holder will act as a role model, promoting quality evidence based practice, developing work streams, facilitating engagement and ensuring clinical teams are fully briefed on activities that require input and action.
