Our Trust is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, receptionist with previous experience of working in a client focused role, ideally in Health services. You will be the first point of contact for telephone and face to face enquiries from patients, their relatives and carers, health professionals and the general public and you will support the smooth running of the clinic at Baldock using your good administrative and computer skills.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will maintain the smooth running of the reception area and demonstrate excellent communication skills, initiative, efficiency and motivation ensuring prompt attention is given to enquiries from staff, patients and visitors. Days to be worked will be Monday and Tuesday. Support will be given for training within the framework of our supervision and appraisal systems.
You must hold a full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be required to:Communicate effectively dealing with queries, enquiries, appointments, telephone calls and emails with service users and professionals.Communicate with members of the public and professionals about clinic activities and take part in the administration of updating, equipment and supplies.
Provide an information sign-posting service to patients and visitors in relation to other offsite services provided for health and well-being.Communicate with the various tenant services on a daily basis to update them on patient flows and/or any premises related issues.Provide general support and cover for colleagues during annual leave/sickness. This will sometimes be at other sites.Manage the Estates related aspects of the premises by daily reporting of maintenance jobs, monitoring follow up, and maintaining premises documentation.Monitor cleanliness of the premises and communicate progress or improvements required with the evening cleaning team by means of a job log book, or communicating directly with them or their line management.Undertake other duties that may occur from time to time as directed by senior management.
Utilise the electronic booking system for Clinic Sessions and room bookings, ensuring accurate recording as well as making sure overlaps do not occur.Take bookings for the centre services on a daily basis.Input on SystmOne as required.Responsible for managing general storage and filing for centre.
