Job summary

This is a rare opportunity to join the Child Health Team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust as a Band 3 Information Technician. This Service successfully delivers across Hertfordshire, Luton, Bedford and Milton Keynes, including Newport Pagnell.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a team player, with good problem solving skills and excellent interpersonal skills. IT proficiencies, experience of working in the NHS with large databases in a conscientious way will also be required. If you are well organised, calm under pressure and enjoy finding and rectifying errors, we are very much looking forward to meeting you.

In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,066 per annum (pro rata where applicable).

Job responsibilities

Central Midland South Child Health Service acts as a population register. This ensures that universal services, such as immunisations, childhood screenings, 0-5 healthy child programme and support for children with special educational needs are offered and accurately recorded, to all children from 0-25 years. This role provides administrative investigation to Child Health Tasks, focussed particularly around identifying and rectifying data anomalies. Using attention to detail and good detection skills, the goal is to keep any data recording errors to an absolute minimum.

Vaccination as a Condition of Deployment (VCOD) for Healthcare Workers - Candidates offered a role with Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust, who are aged 18 and over and who will have direct, face to face contact with service users as part of their role are required, subject to review, to evidence that they have received a complete course of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, subject to limited exceptions. This will include front-line workers, as well as non-clinical workers not directly involved in patient care but who nevertheless may have direct, face to-face contact with patients, such as receptionists and ward clerks.

Word versions of documents are available if needed to allow for any adaptations to be made i.e. font, colour, background, convert to Read Aloud.
