An exciting new role has arisen
and been substantially funded to offer a band 8 clinical leadership role
working within our Community Paediatrics Team. The Community Paediatrics Team covers all
of Worcestershire. They work jointly with speech and language therapy, physiotherapy,
occupational therapy, the child development centre teams, Orchard nurses and
partners in the Acute Trust and education. This is a dynamic and innovative
team with a highly child centred approach. They work in partnership with families
and young people to offer high quality care.
The service is at a point of change
and transformation and the successful candidate will need to be a resilient
clinician who can work with medics to operationalise a complex service,
offering leadership through change.
The
successful candidate will need to have a professional clinical registration (HCPC
or NMC). This is a full time role working at the centre
base at Covercroft. The role is responsible for all operational aspects of the
service, including line management of the admin and nursing teams. The successful candidate will need to create
a strong working relationship with the clinical director, leading on the
clinical direction of the service, working collaboratively across boundaries,
internally and externally, for the benefit of Community Paediatrics and sharing
areas of expertise and best practice. The role will receive support from the
senior management team in the service delivery unit.
Main duties of the job
To fulfil this specialist role you will provide visible and high-quality, professional leadership for the Community
Paediatrics team with responsibility for line management of the admin team
leads; overviewing recruitment & team development. You will need to value staff
wellbeing, have an open-door policy for staff at all levels and offer
leadership around policy & procedure implementation. Using your
clinical experience within your professional boundaries, review safeguarding
notifications and referrals ensuring prioritisation and triage process run
smoothly. You must be able to negotiate and delegate efficiently, be open
and transparent in all communications, respond to complaints and create action
plans to ensure learning from situations.
Reporting directly to the Clinical Services
Manager, you will collaborate closely with commissioners and transformation
partners to ensure the integrity and quality of the offer to children and young
people is maintained through a robust review and audit process; Trust and ICB
initiatives are interpreted and applied to the service. You will engage with
transformation and change projects keeping the client group central to all
decision making, contribute to senior management meetings as required and lead service
level meetings to support the Divisional Quality Improvement plan. Through the
ability to inspire and lead you will drive and implement improvement in
operational delivery and staff development to improve our families journey.
