Herefordshire and
Worcestershire Health and Care Trust are excited to advertise a new position
within the Worcestershire Adults Eating Disorders Service. We are looking for a
caring, compassionate Dietetic Assistant Practitioner to work within the MDT, alongside
the specialist Dietitian. The position
is 0.88WTE 33 hours a week.
Eating Disorder services are
undergoing further expansion as part of the mental health community
transformation, for which the trust is an early implementer. The post holder
will be supported to learn the skillset needed to monitor nutrition plans, and
carry out basic physical health monitoring under the supervision of senior
clinicians.

The Adult Eating Disorders
Team is a countywide service that provides clinical management and
psychological interventions for adults with eating disorders across Worcestershire.

multidisciplinary team who values the variety of skills, knowledge and
experience each member brings.

Main duties of the job
The
Dietetic Assistant Practitioner will undertake roles and duties delegated by the
specialist Dietitian and Clinical Lead within the team. Duties will include monitoring
nutrition plans, dietary analysis of food records, physical health monitoring
and delivering nutrition sessions to groups.
Whilst working within the boundaries set out by the senior Dietitian and
Clinical lead, the scope of the role enables the post holder to make a limited
assessment of patient need and act upon their assessment.
They
will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of
service users and their carers by providing quality evidence-based care. The
post holder will follow explicit protocols, policy and procedures.
