An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, pro-active team player to join the Information Technology Team as an IT Senior Security Analyst.
The successful candidate will be monitoring, assessing, and improving the security of Trust IT infrastructure, including endpoints, servers, virtual environments, network switches, firewalls, and cloud services, with a focus on vulnerability management.
The closing date is 16th July 2023, however the Trust reserves the right to close this vacancy early if sufficient applications are received. We would recommend an early application if you are interested in the role.
The role is 37.5 hours over 5 days per week and will involve working both from our Trust HQ in Worcester and at home. There may also be a requirement to travel to any of our other sites across Herefordshire and Worcestershire on occasion.
Main duties of the job
This technical role will require the successful candidate to:
- Provide specialist advice on and perform day-to-day operation of the Trusts defences against cyber threats and breaches of IT security protections
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support the implementation of controls to maintain the safety, confidentiality, integrity, availability and security of the Trusts IT infrastructure and systems along with the protection of Trust and patient data, both stored and processed by infrastructure or applications managed by, or under the control of, the Trust
- Act upon vulnerability assessments, reports and publicly available information and implement patching, upgrades and configuration changes to software, hardware and firmware. This will ensure the Trusts IT infrastructure and systems are exposed to the minimum amount of cyber security risk without compromising the Trusts ability to deliver healthcare services.
