Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Health Visitor to become part of the Worcestershire Starting Well Partnership Team.

We welcome experienced and newly qualified health visitors to apply to join us in utilising their Specialist Public Health Practitioner Nursing/Health Visiting knowledge and skills to play a pivotal role working within the Starting Well Partnership.

The Starting Well partnership brings together the Trust, Barnardos, Action for Children, and Redditch Borough Council and aims to deliver a new countywide model which reflects a change in how we support local children, young people and families in our county.

Hours available from 22.5 hours to full time, with flexibility on days worked (Monday Friday). We continue to offer a blend of home and office working with necessary equipment provided and we are a uniformed service.

Main duties of the job

Successful applicants will work as part of this innovative Starting Well team led by supportive Health Visitor Team Leaders and Managers. You will be part of an integrated team that includes Community Nursery Nurses, Community Health Connectors, Parent Support Workers, Breastfeeding Support Workers, administrative staff, School Health Nurses and Peer Supporters; all working together to provide the best service for families in Worcestershire.

The Starting Well service operates across five localities Redditch, Bromsgrove, Worcester/Malvern, Wyre Forest and Wychavon. You would be working within the Wyre Forest District but may be asked to work in other areas if needed, mileage expenses are provided.

  • BSc HV qualification public health specification at degree level
  • Registered with NMC
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
