Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Paediatric
Physiotherapist to work within the children and young peoples team in
Worcestershire alongside our Childrens Community Nursing Service (Orchard
Service). The post would be based in our Paediatric Physiotherapy team, where
leadership and supervision will be provided.
Our Nursing service will support clinical management and have oversight
of the project cohort.
Main duties of the job
- To review the
needs and demand for a respiratory paediatric palliative care provision
- Analysis of
data available to identify what provision is required to meet the need
- Follow
developed pathway criteria, treatment modalities and a competency and training
package
- Link in with
other services offering similar provision from the acute hospital and tertiary
centres within our region
- Work in
collaboration with the Orchard Team
- Provide
specialised Respiratory Physiotherapy to a small defined group of children with
aim of preventing hospital admission.
- Offer training
to families, carers, other professionals in respiratory management for this
identified cohort of patients.
- By the end of
the 12 month period, the successful candidate will have contributed to a
business case for substantive provision of a Paediatric Respiratory service.
