Job summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mental Health Practitioner, OT/SW or RMN to join our Worcestershire Early Intervention in Psychosis Service.
We wish to appoint a highly skilled and experienced practitioner. The service addresses the needs of people aged 14-65 who have recently experienced a first episode of psychosis, or aged 14-35 who may be at risk of developing psychosis. You will be supporting individuals and their families to talk about and understand their psychosis experiences, to cope with the changes that have occurred and to promote recovery and staying well.
In your role you will provide a range of skilled mental health interventions and manage a defined caseload, assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care and actively contributing to groups and family work.

Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities
Managerial
- Deputise for the
clinical manager and undertake any other duties as required, commensurate with
grades and responsibilities.
- Assist the
clinical manager in ensuring that effective working relationships are
maintained within the Early Intervention in Psychosis Team and associated
agencies.
Clinical
- Carry continuing responsibility for the assessment, implementation,
development and evaluation of care programmes ensuring acceptable, safe and
effective standards of care, in line with professional guidelines and the
Trusts own policies/procedures.
- Manage a defined caseload, acting as case manager and delivering service
within an assertive outreach model.
- Deliver a wide range of evidence-based interventions.
- Participate in determining the suitability of referrals to the Early
Intervention in Psychosis Team.
- Develop user/carer involvement in planning and delivery of the
service.
- Encourage service users to make maximum use of community resources.
Identify and utilise existing resources and be proactive in creating new
opportunities wherever possible to enhance and broaden the range of services
available.
- Be responsible for the administration and/or delivery of medications
