This post is ideal for anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in the mental health of children and young people, many of our CaseWorkers have moved on to further training taking with them the skills and knowledge they gained being part of the team. We also welcome applicants who are happy to stay in the role and become a longstanding member of the team giving them the opportunity to be part of the ongoing development of the service as it continues to evolve. The team is a friendly and supportive one who work enthusiastically towards their shared goal of maximising emotional wellbeing outcomes for children and young people.
The work base has not yet been determined but will be discussed in more detail at the interview
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join a small but well-established team that provides Brief Intervention support via groups for young people and parents of primary school age children to help them manage their anxiety, low mood (CBT informed) and emotional resilience (DBT informed).
Following changes made to the service during the pandemic the Case Workers are currently working from home and delivering the groups online. However, over time this is likely to change to a hybrid model and there will be an expectation to travel and deliver groups in multiple sites around the county, wherever possible we will try to limit this to localities to minimise mileage. Consideration would also be given to candidates from further afield who are willing to deliver the groups whilst purely homeworking.
In brief a typical day will consist of facilitating groups, completing administrative tasks and the opportunity to be part of continued service development
