Job summary
The Adult Mental Health
team has two exciting opportunities for two consultants to join the Trust to
work in our 16-bed mixed gender adult assessment ward in Worcester. The roles are 10PAs with an additional 2 PAs for ECT
lead and 136 suite support.
The
successful candidates will work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary inpatient
team as well as experienced teams of Consultant Psychiatrists who work in the
community across all mental health services within the Trust.
Opportunities

re-design. Non-clinical interests will
be supported in line with Trust strategies. Interest and previous experience in
leadership and management would be an advantage. We will provide you with

Main duties of the job
The
consultant will provide direct psychiatric services through the comprehensive
assessment, diagnosis and care plan and treatment formulation, guidance on
evidence-based treatment within a biopsychosocial model. They will also provide
psychiatric leadership to the multidisciplinary team and clinical leadership in
collaboration with the team leader assuring the involvement of families and
carers and wherever possible with the patients consent in treatment planning.

Essential
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- CCT holder or equivalent (or within 6 months of becoming eligible for CCT)
- Current full registration with the GMC (or eligible for full registration with the GMC at the time of appointment).
- GMC Licence to practice.
- MRC Psych (or equivalent)
- Approval (or eligible for approval) under Section 12 (2) of the Mental Health Act.
Desirable
- Higher degree of other qualification in research methodology.
- Qualification or previous training in leadership.
- Qualification and/or experience in providing training for doctors.
Experience

- Provision of high-quality mental health services, as trainee or Consultant.
