Job summary
We are looking
for an enthusiastic and motivated band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the
Worcester and Wychavon Community Occupational Therapy team for adaptations,
equipment, and housing. This is a part time post of 26.5 hours, however we
would consider a minimum of 18 hours, and the role should cover 3 plus days
preferably Wednesday to Friday.
The post
holder will be based at Droitwich Medical Centre to cover the Droitwich area, but
they may be asked to work across Worcester City and Wychavon depending on
service needs.

Main duties of the job
This is a
busy and varied role, which requires the post holder to have a flexible
approach and a calm, professional manner and is one where they will work both
independently and as part of a team in undertaking the duties required for the
post. The role includes assessment and provision of equipment focusing on
specialist products; making recommendations for major adaptations in the home
for both adults and children; and supporting patients with their housing needs.
The role will involve managing a complex caseload and assisting the team with
referral triage, as well as supervising staff and students.
