Job summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and conscientious dental therapist with good
interpersonal and clinical skills to join the Community Special Care Dental
Services in Worcester. Working as part of a team and with excellent nursing
support, this post will suit a dental therapist who is committed to providing a
high standard of oral health care. There will be on occasions the requirement
to work across all clinic sites across Worcestershire. Good clinical and
patient-management skills will enable the post-holder to achieve a high level
of personal job satisfaction.
The dental team is extremely friendly and supportive, and the
environment and facilities are of best practise for dentistry. Our Dental
Clinic in Worcester and across all of our sites has parking facilities. If you

Main duties of the job
The
post holder will be an essential member of Worcestershire Community Dental
Service working as part of a team of clinicians providing Dental Care for
patients who are unable to receive care in a general dental practice
environment including patients with disabilities and children requiring
inhalation sedation. Adhere to department and professional standards/protocols.
The successful candidate will preferably have current or recent previous,
experience of working in a UK-based Community Dental service. Ideally the
candidate should have established and demonstrable skills in the provision of
oral health care for children and adults with special needs They will perform a
range of prescribed preventive/restorative/surgical procedures (e.g., Fillings,
extractions) as well as providing more advanced preventative and specialist
treatment services where required.
Treatments will be provided in our Dental clinics on a wide range of
patient groups including routine and special care.
